Delivery & Returns

Delivery

Our deliveries are fast and reliable and we can arrange an export service on request. The cost of delivery is based on the number of crates/pallets ordered. Once an order has been placed goods can normally be dispatched within five working days. A specific delivery date will be arranged to suit you.

Most deliveries are between the hours of 9.00 am and 5.30 pm, Monday - Friday except Bank Holidays. An additional charge will be made for a specific morning, afternoon, timed, or Saturday delivery.

The majority of orders are packed in either wooden crates or pallets. They will be delivered on a large lorry with a tail-lift so it is important that any restricted access details are advised prior to your delivery. The delivery will be placed on the nearest safest point to your property. As deliveries will be off-loaded with a pallet-truck, this may be on your drive, or kerbside if the surfaces on your property are unsuitable for the pallet-truck, such as gravel.

The delivery driver cannot help handle the goods, so it is essential for you to arrange for a responsible individual to be present.

All orders must be examined on delivery and any shortages, damages or other discrepancies must be reported to Granite and Slate Paving on the day of delivery.

Care must be taken when unpacking all stone slabs to avoid damage. Slabs should always be stacked and stored vertically (on edge). Care must be taken during stacking slabs on a hard surface to avoid unnecessary edge chipping.

Order Collection

You are welcome to collect goods from our Sandycroft warehouse by prior arrangement. As stone is very heavy, please ensure that a suitable vehicle is used. We can advise you on the weight of your order prior to collection so that you do not have a wasted journey. Once goods are collected, they are transported at your own risk, so please ensure adequate insurances are in place.

Returns

Due to the variation which is inherent to natural stone, we operate a non-return policy. It is always advisable to retain a number of surplus slabs as they will be from the same batch as your original material and can therefore be utilised should any damage occur after the slabs have been installed.
